57' NO GOAL! Rashford finds Greenwood just inside the box with a sharp pass and the teenager turns and drives a low effort off the base of the right-hand post! It comes back out to Rashford, who tucks into an empty net, but the flag is up for offside again!
55' The ball is switched wide to Rashford on the left and a neat move involving Fernandes and Williams sees the latter lay off for Fred, but the midfielder's effort on his weaker right foot is tame and straight down the middle for Johnsson to gather.
53' Copenhagen play out superbly from a tight spot at the back and Wind drives forward, playing a one-two with Daramy but just failing to latch onto the return pass as Williams intervenes. The young full-back appears to have hurt himself in the challenge, but it's not serious and he will try to run it off.
51' United are dominating the ball for a spell. They're just working it around patiently, taking a breather on the ball before they go again.
49' Rashford beats two defenders with excellent close control and he cuts it back to Fernandes in the box. The Portuguese also cuts back for Pogba, just inside the area, and the Frenchman tries to bend it into the top-right corner, but gets it all wrong and balloons his effort very high and very wide.
48' Biel pings a free-kick into the box from the left, but it's headed away. It falls to Falk on the edge of the box, however, but his volley is high into the stands.
46' We're back underway for the second half!
Solskjaer will hope to inject some life into his players in the second half. United have been a bit flat so far and have failed to control proceedings as they would have liked. Copenhagen, meanwhile, have exceeded expectations, with Daramy in particular causing the Red Devils plenty of issues at the back, with Romero, Bailly and Maguire all forced to make last-ditch blocks to prevent him from scoring. Solbakken will hope that his team will be rewarded for their efforts in the second half.
There goes the half-time whistle! It's been an even half so far which chances for both sides. VAR denied United a penalty for offside against Maguire in the build-up, as well as ruling out Greenwood's strike that would have been the opener as the teenager was beyond the last defender when the ball was played. Copenhagen have caused problems of their own, but they've not been able to force the ball home either. It's 0-0 at the break.
45' + 6' HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 0-0 COPENHAGEN
45' + 4' United are huffing and puffing, but they just can't pick an opening in Copenhagen's stubborn low block. The Danish side are very well-organised and are denying their illustrious opponents space to work in.
45' + 2' NO GOAL! The replays show that Greenwood was also offside as the header was played in behind and the teenager is denied! It was a fantastic strike, but it won't count.
45' The ball is in the back of the net, and Greenwood's the scorer! Rashford heads the ball on and Martial leaves it, as he's clearly offside. It runs through for Greenwood, who runs onto it from a deeper position on the right, gets into the box and smashes a low effort in off the far post from a tight angle! However, there's a VAR check for offside against the teenager.
43' Despite the fact that seven shots have been taken in the game so far, only two players have played a key pass ending in a shot - Wan-Bissaka for United and Falk for Copenhagen.
40' Only Romero (9) has had fewer touches for United so far than Greenwood (12). The youngster hasn't been able to impose himself on the game yet.
37' BLOCK! Biel makes space well down the right again and crosses dangerously towards Daramy, who has made a nuisance of himself in the box, but Bailly makes a crucial block from close range!
35' Fernandes tries to slide the ball through for Rashford, making a run through the middle, but it's slightly overhit and runs through for the goalkeeper to collect.
33' Greenwood has a pop from outside the box after being found on the right by Wan-Bissaka, but it's blocked away. A bit speculative from the teenager.
30' Rashford dinks a lovely ball over the top towards Martial at the back post, but the forward just can't reach it on the stretch!
28' OVER! Fernandes takes the free-kick this time, but he gets under the ball and fires his effort over the top of the bar.
27' Greenwood wins a free-kick in a dangerous area on the edge of the box. Rashford and Fernandes gather around it as they eye up a shot.
25' Copenhagen have been impressive so far. They've not looked intimidated and are preventing United from clicking into gear with their shape, whilst causing problems of their own at the other end.
23' NO PENALTY! The referee initially pointed to the spot as Martial went to ground in the Copenhagen box, but VAR reviews the incident and rules it out as Maguire was offside in the build-up
21' CROSSBAR! An attack following a United corner sees Maguire head back for Martial, who flicks on for Fernandes in a chaotic Copenhagen box and the midfielder heads powerfully at goal from close range, but it clips the top of the crossbar and goes over!
19' A couple of fouls disrupt the flow of the game, giving United something of a breather. They've been under real pressure in the last few minutes.
17' BLOCK! Copenhagen are in the ascendancy at the moment! Fred plays a loose pass out from the back and the ball is played through to Daramy in the box. The forward shows great strength to hold off Bailly and impeccable skill as he turns past the defender before striking from an angle on the left, but Maguire slides in to block! Stage is one of a number of Copenhagen players to rush towards the bouncing ball and volleys at goal, but it's a scruffy effort and it's blocked again!
16' WIDE! A Copenhagen corner comes in and is inadvertently flicked on by a United player at the front post, forcing a desperate clearance that falls to Daramy, who can only strike wide from just outside the box!
14' There are two men down injured, one from each side. Boilesen smashes a cross into the face of Wan-Bissaka, who goes down, dazed. However, the Copenhagen left-back appears to have tweaked his hamstring as he played the ball and is signalling to the bench that he needs to be replaced.
12' CHANCE! Huge chance for Copenhagen! Biel gets down the right and works some space before crossing towards Daramy in the six-yard box, but he can't make solid contact as Romero rushes out to block and the opportunity goes begging!
10' CHANCE! Some slick build-up in the inside-left channel sees Martial feed Rashford into a pocket of space as he enters the box, but he just can't take it in his stride and ends up prodding harmlessly towards Johnsson in the Copenhagen goal.
9' WIDE! Martial draws a foul on the edge of the area and Rashford steps up to take the free-kick. He goes low to the goalkeeper's side, but drags it wide of the target.
7' United win another corner down their left and it's whipped in towards Maguire, who gets his head to it, but the whistle goes and the centre-back is penalised for a foul on Bjelland.
5' Fred lofts a great pass forward towards Rashford, making a run towards the left byline, and the forward heads back into a dangerous area, but nobody had followed the attack in and the loose ball is dealt with.
3' United force a corner after weathering some early Copenhagen pressure, but the inswinging delivery is cleared away and it comes to nothing.
1' We're underway in Cologne!
The Copenhagen side also features a familiar face for United fans. Varela, who joined the Red Devils as a 20-year-old in 2013, will become only the third player to appear both for and against United in the Europa League, after Daley Blind and Ander Herrera.
Manchester United have named their youngest starting line-up for a Europa League game (25y 64d) since March 2016 under Louis van Gaal (24y 191d). The team selection features Williams and Greenwood, who are the first pair of teenagers to start a major European knockout tie for the club since Rashford and Joe Riley did so in a 5-1 home win over FC Midtjylland in February 2016.
Copenhagen head coach Stale Solbakken, however, makes just two alterations to the side that came back from a 1-0 first-leg defeat to beat Istanbul Basaksehir 3-0 in their last outing. Mudrazija and Kaufmann are named among the substitutes, with Stage and Daramy taking their places in the team.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes six changes after he fielded a rotated side in the 2-1 win over LASK Linz last time out. Fosu-Mensah, McTominay, Mata, Lingard, James and Ighalo all drop to the bench, with Wan-Bissaka, Pogba, Fernandes, Greenwood, Martial and Rashford returning to the starting line-up.
Copenhagen substitutes: Robert Mudrazija, William Boving Vick, Sotiris Papagiannopoulos, Bryan Oviedo, Alexander Hjaelmhof, Stephan Andersen, Pierre Bengtsson, Mikkel Kaufmann, Sten Grytebust, Karlo Bartolec.
