LIVE: AC Milan vs Hellas Verona

90' + 5' One minute left for Milan to do the unthinkable! Verona are hanging on and struggling to clear their lines.

90' + 5' Calabria goes forward again, and his overhead kick nearly finds the far corner. Once again, Silvestri is there to thwart the danger, and he dives on the ball to kill a few more seconds.

90' + 4' They cannot go win it can they?

90' + 1' Five minutes of stoppage time...

90' DISALLOWED!!!!!! Calabria thinks he is the man of the moment as he finds the back of the net with just seconds remaining of normal time. Ibrahimovic beat Ceccherini in the air, and nobody in the Verona defence reacted quickly enough. Calabria did, and his volley sailed into the bottom corner. HOWEVER, VAR has ruled that Ibrahimovic handled the ball as he jumped in the air and it is ruled out

84' WIDE! Barak carves open the Milan defence before picking out Colley at the back post. The sub gets distracted by a team-mate and heads his effort past the near post. That was a big chance to kill the game off.

81' Rebic has not made the impact Pioli would have liked so far. Milan are making ground, but they need a bit more composure in the final third if they are to avoid defeat tonight.

77' SAVE!!!! Ibrahimovic goes close again as he climbs above two Verona defenders to head towards the top corner. His effort looks destined for the back of the net, but Silvestri flies across his goal to deny him.

76' OFF THE BAR!!! Milan win a corner, and Calhanoglu picks out Ibrahimovic at the far post. The Sweden forward towers above everyone before rattling the crossbar with his header. Verona hang on, for now!

71' Milan playmaker Calhanoglu has scored two goals in three matches against Verona in Serie A, both at Meazza. He has around 20 minutes to improve that stat and help Milan draw level.

65' PENALTY MILAN!!! Kessie is upended in the box and the referee wastes no time and points to the spot.

64' HUGE SAVE! Silvestri makes another fantastic save to deny Hernandez. The Milan left-back charged into the box, and all he had to do was tap home. He has tried to be cute and place the ball into net at the near post, only for Silvestri to get his leg to the shot and concede a corner.

61' Worry here for Verona as Dawidowicz goes down injured.

60' Verona are really struggling to get out of their own half now, and this has become a training session. Attack v defence and 30 minutes left to find out who comes out on top.

57' The tackles are flying in so far in the second half and Milan are doing all they can to unsettle tonight's visitors.

51' GOAL DISALLOWED! Milan draw level, or so they think, as Calhanoglu bundles the ball into the back of the net. He turns away to celebrate, but the referee is told to disallow the goal due to Calhanoglu standing in an offside position.

49' Milan try to level proceedings with a quick attack down the left wing. After some short passing, Bennacer finds space on the edge of the box, but he blazes his shot wide of the target.

46' We are back underway!

Verona have looked very dangerous from set-pieces, scoring both of their goals from them. If they can win more free-kicks and corners, they will feel they have what it takes to find a third goal.

Milan trail at the break but have a chance of restoring parity in the second half. Goals from Barak and Zaccagni put Verona into a commanding lead, but Milan look threatening when they get going. Magnani's own goal has given them a chance of getting a draw at least, but they will need to find another gear to get past Silvestri, who has been in inspired form.

45' HALF-TIME - MILAN 1-2 VERONA.

40' The game has become scrappy all of a sudden. Multiple free-kicks given to each team and the tempo has dropped slightly. Hopefully, it lifts before the interval.

37' Milan have conceded the highest ratio of goals from set-pieces in Serie A this season, and they have not improved that stat by letting in two more tonight. On the other hand, Verona are the only team that haven’t yet conceded a goal from set-piece

34' Calhanoglu decides to cross rather than shoot, and Gabbia heads over the bar for the second time tonight. This chance was much harder than the first as he was facing away from goal before trying to head into the net.

29' Silvestri is now starting to keep Milan at bay. The former Leeds United keeper is enjoying some personal duels with the Milan attack, and this could be entertaining to watch for the final hour of this match.

24' From the resulting corner, Calhanoglu picks out Gabbia in space in the box. The defender tries to flick his header over his head and into the top corner, but he gets underneath the ball and finds the stands instead. Big chance that for Milan!

23' Silvestri pulls off one of his acrobatic saves to deny Milan for a second time tonight. Rafael Leao charged through midfield before launching his shot towards the top corner, only for Silvestri to turn the ball away for a corner.

21' Well, not many will have predicted this scoreline at this stage of the game. Milan have it all to do...

18' Verona win a free-kick on the edge of the Milan box as Kessie chops down Ilic, no cards shown though.

16' Calhanoglu treis his luck from range but his shot sails over the bar, at least he is getting closer though.

13' Verona look happy to absorb the pressure from Milan before unleashing quick counter-attacks. They look very dangerous down the left, with the majority of their attacks coming down that wing so far.

10' Milan have started to settle into their rhythm now after conceding, but they need to work Silvestri more if they are to open the scoring.

8' CLOSE! Saelemaekers is given space on the edge of the Verona box and goes for goal. His right-footed effort had plenty of power behind it, but Silvestri stays big and punches the ball away from danger.

4' SAVE!!! Verona burst into the Milan box, and Zaccagni picks out Kalinic with a low cross at the near post. The striker steers his shot towards the bottom corner but Donnarumma palms the ball away for a Verona corner.

3' Milan make a strong start to the match and register their first shot on goal. After winning a corner, Pioli's side went with a short-corner routine before the ball was crossed to Ibrahimovic. The forward tried to fire home from the penalty spot, but his half volley was too powerful, and it sails over the bar.

1' We are underway in Milan, the home side in their traditional red and black kit, while Verona will wear yellow for tonight's match.

The players are making their way onto the field of play, and kick-off is now just minutes away.

We could be in for an exciting encounter if Milan can maintain their home form. They have scored in each of their last 26 league games, and the Italian giants could equal their second-longest streak in the top-flight.

Ivan Juric keeps things slightly simpler as he makes two alterations to his team. Magnani and Dawidowicz replace Alan Empereur and Tameze for tonight's battle.

Stefano Pioli makes five changes after the 3-0 defeat to Lille on Thursday evening. Dalot, Tonali, Castillejo, Diaz and Krunic all lose their place and in come Calabria, Bennacer, Saelemaekers and Calhanoglu.

SUBS: Nicola Borghetto, Samuel Di Carmine, Ebrima Colley, Yildirim Mert Cetin, Matteo Cancellieri, Ivor Pandur, Adrien Tameze, Eddie Salcedo, Alan Empereur, Filippo Terracciano, Bruno Amione, Iyenoma Destiny Udogie.

VERONA (3-4-3): Marco Silvestri; Federico Ceccherini, Matteo Lovato, Giangiacomo Magnani; Darko Lazovic, Pawel Dawidowicz, Ivan Ilic, Federico Dimarco; Antonin Barak, Mattia Zaccagni, Nikola Kalinic.

SUBS: Rade Krunic, Ante Rebic, Andrea Conti, Brahim Díaz, Matteo Gabbia, Ciprian Tatarusanu, Leo Duarte, Sandro Tonali, Samu Castillejo, Antonio Donnarumma, Diogo Dalot, Jens Hauge.

The home side were humbled in the Europa League in midweek, losing 3-0 to Lille on home soil. Verona were last in action six days ago, beating Benevento 3-1.

Milan and Verona have conceded the fewest goals in Serie A so far this season, and we could be set for a close encounter this evening. Milan have made a superb start to the season and sit top on 16 points, while Verona have gained 11 so far.

Hello and welcome to tonight's live coverage of the Serie A clash between league-leaders Milan and Hellas Verona. Two of the most robust defences in Europe meet at San Siro tonight, with the visitors looking to move into the top four with a victory.
