Though Neymar has been unusually wasteful in front of goal, he has been by far PSG’s most potent attacking threat, and Tuchel needs more from the rest of his side. He has Mbappe in reserve, of course.
Atalanta lead at the break in what has been a pulsating tie – Pasalic’s superb strike having put the Serie A side ahead. Neymar has had two great chances for PSG, but wasted them both.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: ATALANTA 1-0 PSG.
43' Atalanta have not been afraid to get stuck into PSG in midfield, with Herrera unable to cement any authority on the Ligue 1 champions’ play so far, with their chances coming through quick interplay involving Neymar and the other forwards.
41' CHANCE! Neymar gets in once again, but from a tight angle, he hammers his effort 10 yards wide of goal. Surely he won’t let his next opportunity go to waste?
38' Following his assist for Pasalic's opener, no player has been involved in more goals for Atalanta in all competitions this season than Zapata, who has scored 19 goals and set up a further seven.
36' Neymar’s effort is on target and destined for the right-hand corner, but Sportiello had tracked it all the way and makes a relatively comfortable stop.
34' PSG break at pace, with Sarabia playing a crisp one-two with Neymar before attempting to lay it back to Gueye. The pass is intercepted, but Gueye recovers in order to win a free-kick, just shy of 30 yards out from goal.
32' PSG have got plenty of joy when attacking through Neymar down the left, with the forward exposing Atalanta’s high line. However, his team-mates haven't done enough to support him so far.
30' Pasalic has been involved in five goals in his last six Champions League games, scoring three times and providing two assists.
28' CLOSE! Fantastic work from Neymar, who cuts inside from the left and, from a standing start, takes on several defenders before getting a shot off which whistles just wide.
26' Despite losing their opening three games this season, Atalanta are the first Champions League debutants to reach the quarter-finals of the competition since Leicester City in 2016-17 and the first Italian side to do so since Lazio in the 1999-00 campaign.
24' Neymar gets beyond Hateboer with some great footwork and drills in a low cross, but there are plenty of defenders on hand to clear it.
21' Gueye dives in late on Gomez, handing Atalanta a free-kick in a dangerous position down the left. Gomez takes it, but Zapata’s header is directed straight at Navas.
18' Awful from Neymar! The Brazil star gets in down the left but, with Icardi in support, he seems to get caught in two minds and – rather than shoot or pass – he sends a poor attempted cross out of play.
17' Sarabia combines excellently with Neymar and makes a blistering run down the left. He battles with De Roon and is convinced he has won a corner, but referee Anthony Taylor awards Atalanta a goal-kick.
15' Thiago Silva's involvement tonight means that he equals Marco Verratti's tally of 58 appearances for Paris in Europe – a club record.
13' What a save! That’s another wonderful stop from Navas, who lunged to his left to keep out Caldera’s header. It would not have counted, as Atalanta’s defender was offside, though Navas was not to know that.
11' CLOSE! Brilliant save from Navas! Gomez picks out Hateboer with an excellent cross, and the wing-back sends a powerful header down into the ground, but PSG’s goalkeeper makes a superb stop high to his left.
9' It has been a scrappy start. Atalanta are adept at playing on the break, with the pace of Zapata and Gomez a really useful outlet. PSG, meanwhile, are attempting to get their passing game going.
7' This is the first competitive game between Atalanta and PSG. Atalanta's only previous encounter with a French club in European competition was against Lyon in the 2017-18 UEFA Europa League group stages – the Bergamo side drew 1-1 in France and won 1-0 at home.
5' Chances for both sides in the opening minutes, though it is Atalanta who can consider themselves most fortunate not to be behind. Neymar’s combination play with Icardi to get past the last defender was sublime, but the finish failed to match.
4' WHAT A MISS! Oh my word, what a terrible miss that is from – of all people – Neymar. Mbappe has his head in his hands in the stand, after watching his strike partner race through one-on-one with Sportiello, only to slice a dreadful attempt wide.
3' CHANCE! Atalanta break at pace, with the ball played down the left channel into Gomez. He gets a shot straight off, but Navas is equal to it.
2' Atalanta were on the attack straight away, though the move was snuffed out by PSG, who patiently worked their way forward without really testing their opposition.
1' KICK-OFF! After a moment of silence to pay respect to the lives lost around the world due to coronavirus, Atalanta get proceedings underway.
The teams are out in Lisbon, and we’re just moments away from kick-off. Is this the year that PSG final get into the final stages of the Champions League, or will Atalanta – who hail from Bergamo, one of the worst-affected areas by COVID-19 in Italy – cause an upset?
The big news for PSG is that one of their talismen – Mbappe – has made the bench, after he recovered from an injury suffered in the win over Saint-Etienne last month. It will be a huge boost to Tuchel, who has made seven changes from the side which started in a friendly against Sochaux on August 5.
PSG SUBSTITUTES: Kays Ruiz-Atal, Loic Mbe Soh, Julian Draxler, Mitchel Bakker, Sergio Rico, Colin Dagba, Arnaud Kalimuendo Muinga, Leandro Paredes, Marcin Bulka, Abdou Diallo, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Kylian Mbappe.
PSG (4-3-3) Keylor Navas; Thilo Kehrer, Thiago Silva, Presnel Kimpembe, Juan Bernat; Idrissa Gueye, Marquinhos, Ander Herrera; Pablo Sarabia, Mauro Icardi, Neymar.
Gasperini has made two changes from the Atalanta side which was beaten by Inter in their final Serie A game of the season, with goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, who suffered an injury last time out, and right wing-back Castagne dropping out. In come Sportiello and Hateboer.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta were one of the form teams in Serie A in 2020, though their campaign ended with a 2-0 defeat to Inter on August 1. PSG, meanwhile, were crowned Ligue 1 champions after the season in France was ended early, though have only played two competitive fixtures since March – however, they were two cup finals, with Thomas Tuchel’s side coming out on top against Saint-Etienne and Lyon, respectively.
Atalanta overcame Valencia 8-4 in the last 16 prior to the coronavirus-enforced shutdown, while PSG saw off Borussia Dortmund – coming from behind to win that tie.
