LIVE: Manchester City vs Wycombe Wanderers

10' Hanlan is again brought down, this time by Lavia, as he attempts to spark a Wycombe attack into City's half.

8' Hanlan drops deep to break up a promising-looking City attack, but is fouled by de Bruyne when attempting to spin and drive the ball up-field.

7' CHANCE!!! A great ball from Mahrez towards Sterling puts the England winger in a potential one-on-one with Stockdale, however the City man cannot properly control the ball and it bounces out for a goal kick.

5' A mix-up in the City defence between Egan-Riley and Steffen exposes the goalkeeper, but he is fouled as he attempts to re-gather the ball and his side's worries are averted.

4' A long-ball towards the hulking Akinfenwa sees City's young defence panicking slightly, before the ball is hoofed into the stands to clear the danger.

2' City debutant Lavia is brought down in his own half by Wheeler, and the referee blows for the game's first foul.

1' And we're underway! Following the taking of the knee, Torres begins the first half as we look ahead to (at least) 90 minutes of pulsating Carabao Cup action!

The teams are on their way out, and we're not far away from kick-off now!

Wycombe, however, have insurmountable levels of experience for this fixture, with veterans such as goalkeeper David Stockdale and forward Adebayo Akinfenwa, who will lead the line for the Wanderers alongside Brandon Hanlan.

Pep Guardiola has named quite an inexperienced line-up for his side in this match, particularly in defence, with the entire back four, and defensive midfielder, all making their senior debuts for Manchester City.

WYCOMBE WANDERERS SUBS: Adam Przybek, Jack Grimmer, Curtis Thompson, Sam Vokes, Garath McCleary, Daryl Horgan, Josh Scowen.

WYCOMBE WANDERERS (4-4-2): David Stockdale; Jason McCarthy, Anthony Stewart, Ryan Tafazolli, Joe Jacobson; Sullay Kaikai, Dominic Gape, David Wheeler, Jordan Obita; Brandon Hanlan, Adebayo Akinfenwa.

MANCHESTER CITY SUBS: Scott Carson, Ruben Dias, Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo, Cole Palmer, James McAtee.

MANCHESTER CITY (4-3-3): Zack Steffen; CJ Egan-Riley, Fin Burns, Luke Mbete, Joshua Wilson-Esbrand; Romeo Lavia, Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden; Raheem Sterling, Ferran Torres, Riyad Mahrez.

Wycombe, meanwhile, currently sit fifth in the League One play-off places, and face the mammoth task of overcoming an all-conquering side in this competition. Pep Guardiola’s City have won the past four tournaments back-to-back.

Coming off the back of a disappointing 0-0 home draw with Southampton in their last match, reigning Premier League and Carabao Cup champions Manchester City will be hoping to dispatch a Wycombe side who were relegated from the Championship last season.

Good evening, and welcome to live coverage of this Carabao Cup 3rd round fixture between Manchester City and Wycombe Wanderers.
