LIVE: Tottenham vs Burnley

Dyche and his side have a mountain to climb in the second half if they are to get even close to pulling off an unthinkable comeback. The visitors may look to the fit-again Wood off the bench for some added attacking impetus, while Mourinho, whose side were excellent in the first half, may see this as an opportunity to get some important minutes into the legs of Alli.

Bale got the hosts off to a flying start as he turned in Son's cross just over a minute into the game. The Welshman then found Kane to double Spurs' lead before Lucas blasted past Pope after 30 minutes to put Mourinho's men three goals to the good. Burnley have worked hard and perhaps could have had chances through Rodriguez and Vydra but as the sides wander down the tunnel at half-time, it is Tottenham who lead 3-0.

45' + 2' HALF-TIME: TOTTENHAM 3-0 BURNLEY

45' + 1' There will be two minutes of added time as Pope arrows a goal-kick high into the London sky towards the heads of Vydra and Rodriguez.

45' Son shows some quick feet to work it around Lowton to feed Lucas. Spurs makes it to Pope's goal down the right-hand channel but Aurier's right-footed volley is rushed and ends up high in the stand behind the Burnley goal.

43' Lucas and Kane are playing the ball about at walking pace as both sides appear keen to get down the tunnel for half-time. Reguilon then injects some pace and intensity into the hosts' passing but loses out to Westwood in midfield.

41' Kane dispossesses Tarkowski and then teases him as he turns one way and the other. Lucas looks to have made a smart run through the left but the English forward fails to find his feet and Lowton intervenes before Pope can be troubled.

40' Reguilon intercepts McNeil's pass inside his own half and races down the left-hand channel. Once the Spaniard eventually reaches the byline, he looks for the head of Kane, however, Mee is there to produce a diving header and clear down the right.

39' The visitors need the half-time whistle to regroup and address how they go about their second-half plan but for now Spurs continue to dominate possession, working it from side to side and remaining patient in their build-up play.

37' For a second consecutive season, Spurs find themselves 3-0 ahead in the first half of their Premier League home game against Burnley.

35' Ndombele dances past a few tackles in midfield before playing in Lucas, who beats Mee and then launches a right-footed effort high and wide of Pope's goal to the right-hand side.

34' Bale has a feel of his ankle after trying to latch onto Ndombele's diagonal pass. Mourinho and his assistant look slightly concerned as the camera pans to them on the touchline but the Welshman carries on for now.

32' Every time the visitors look like they are getting back in this game, Mourinho's side come up with another blow to knock them back once more. With Spurs now three goals to the good, it is hard to see how Dyche and his side get back into this game.

30' Son makes an intelligent run through the middle of the park but Reguilon's throughball lacks quality, which allows Pope to race out and claim the loose ball. The hosts then look to create a chance down the right-hand channel through Aurier, however, Taylor nips in before clearing long.

30' Spurs have scored 39 Premier League goals this season, with 32 of them (82%) featuring either Kane or Son as the scorer or assister - including both today.

28' Lowton spurns a decent crossing opportunity as he mishits a right-footed volley back across goal and out of play for a goal-kick. Despite being two goals down, Dyche's men have played relatively well but when up against the quality of the likes of Kane, Son and Bale, any tiny mistake will - and has - be punished.

26' OVER! Son travels half the length of the pitch to reach the edge of the area before unselfishly rolling in Bale. The Welshman cuts inside on his stronger left foot but then manages to blast a left-footed effort high and wide over the bar to waste what looked to be a great shooting opportunity.

24' Half a chance falls for Vydra as Taylor plays in the forward with a low left-footed cross towards the near post. However, the Czech Republic international cannot get his right foot around his effort and the strike rolls well wide of Lloris' right-hand post.

22' Vydra gets into a race with Sanchez and looks to have beaten the Colombian centre-back, only for the defender to recover and shove Vydra out of the way before playing backwards to Lloris.

21' Ndombele collects possession on the edge of the area, cutting inside before looking for the run of Bale at the back post. The Welshman seems to have managed to sneak in behind Taylor, however, Ndombele's pass is a bit too firm and goes out for a goal-kick to the visitors.

20' No player has scored more Premier League goals against the Clarets than Kane (8, level with Riyad Mahrez). Will he extend his impressive record against Dyche's men here?

18' Lowton volleys a lobbed throughball for the run of Vydra into the area, however, the right-back's pass has slightly too much on it and runs out of play for a goal-kick. The right-hand channel seems to be where Burnley want to play but as of yet they have had no joy getting in behind Reguilon.

17' McNeil puts the first corner of the game right on top of Lloris but Mourinho's defence stand firm to head clear before Bale wins a cheap free-kick in the right-hand channel. It is hard to see Burnley getting back in this game from this point.

14' Lucas throws himself to the floor about 25 yards from goal but referee Friend is having none of it. Dyche's men attempt to break down the other end but Brownhill's long ball for Vydra gets comfortably intercepted by Sanchez.

13' Mourinho has managed more league games without losing against Burnley than any other club in his entire managerial career (P10 W6 D4). Due to Bale's opening goal, the Portuguese manager's record looks set to carry on.

12' Kane and Son, as is usually the case, lead the counter-attacking charge for the hosts. However, when the latter reaches the edge of the box, his pass to Bale is slightly overhit, which forces the Welshman into going out wide and the chance fades away.

11' CHANCE! Alderweireld plays a simple long ball looking for Son, who brings the pass down before teeing up Lucas. The Brazilian races past Tarkowski and into the area before powering a right-footed effort into the chest of Pope. The rebound looks set to fall to Lucas until Mee recovers well and clears down the pitch.

9' SAVE! Once again the visitors regain possession deep inside Spurs' half and this time it is Brownhill who creates a chance for Rodriguez. Crossing from the right-hand side, Brownhill finds the head of Rodriguez, whose header then loops into the safe hands of Lloris.

8' Dyche's side intervene high up the pitch and it looks like Rodriguez has been rolled in by Westwood, only for the forward's first touch to let him down, which allows Sanchez to recover and intercept inside the hosts' area.

7' WIDE! Kane advances towards the edge of the area, twisting and turning before releasing a low right-footed shot from the edge of the D. Pope remains motionless but fortunately for Burnley, Kane's effort trickles just wide of the left-hand post and out for a goal-kick.

5' After going behind early on, the visitors have responded well and are pressing high up the pitch but so far the ball has failed to stick at the feet of Rodriguez or Vydra. They are going to need more from their forwards if they are to get something out of this game.

4' Alderweireld appears in a bit of trouble, rushing his headed clearance before the Belgian recovers to head away under the pressure of Lowton inside the hosts' area.

3' That was the earliest of Bale's 44 Premier League goals (01:08) and it was also the quickest goal scored against Burnley in the Premier League. Mourinho's decision to start the Welshman has already been justified in the early stages of this game.

1' Referee Kevin Friend blows his whistle to get this Premier League fixture underway!

The players are wandering out of the tunnel and shortly it will be time for kick-off.

The Clarets are looking for their first away top-flight win against Spurs since October 1974, winning 3-2 under Jimmy Adamson. They’ve lost six of their seven visits since (D1).

Sean Dyche leaves his starting eleven unchanged from their disappointing draw against West Brom. Brownhill continues to operate on the right of midfield, meaning Cork partners Westwood centrally. After missing six matches through injury, Wood is not fit enough to start but does return to the bench.

Jose Mourinho makes 10 changes from the side that cruised past Wolsberger on Wednesday Alderweireld is the only player to keep his spot, Aurier returns from a four-match injury absence and Bale gets a rare start in behind Kane.

After an incredibly unconvincing performance against 10-man West Brom, the visitors will be looking to bounce back here and further distance themselves from the relegation zone. Tottenham, who crushed Wolfsberger in midweek, sit 10th in the league and have only won one of their last six top-flight fixtures.
