78' Spurs deal comfortably with Alexander-Arnold's corner, nodding clear at the near post. They are running out of time to respond, though.
77' Salah runs at the Tottenham defence again but this time gets only a corner as Dier recovers to stab behind.
76' Jones is readying himself for Liverpool. Surely Tottenham must also make a change? The Reds could easily run the clock down keeping the ball like this.
73' Tottenham are struggling. Since conceding again, they have found it difficult to get hold of the ball. They do win possession now but Winks fires a poor pass way over Bergwijn's head in the area.
71' High and wide! Thiago looks to get in on the act with a first-time attempt from 25 yards but slices a long way off target.
68' Liverpool are keeping the ball with ease. Tottenham have a mountain to climb now - especially without Kane.
64' Firmino shoots into the side-netting! Salah works hard to get the ball to his team-mate, holding off challenges on the right, but the forward optimistically looks to beat Lloris with a powerful blast and misses the target.
63' Following a frantic start to the second half, the delay while that disallowed Salah goal was reviewed has just slowed the pace a little.
61' Liverpool work the ball nicely on the left and Milner tees up Wijnaldum, who looks to catch Lloris out with a low drive but drags his shot well wide.
59' NO GOAL! Liverpool have a third ruled out! Salah thunders a deflected strike past Lloris, but the play is called back - following a VAR review - as Firmino handles on halfway in the build-up. It looks a fairly clear call, approved by the referee at the pitchside monitor, although the incident occurs several passes earlier.
56' Thiago reemerges with a big white bandage around his head. Spurs fail to make the most of their brief numerical advantage.
54' Rodon returns to the field, but Liverpool are going to have to cope without Thiago while he has treatment on the cut to his head in the dressing room.
52' Rodon and Thiago go up for a header in the middle of the pitch and both men stay down. The referee indicates for the physios, with blood evident on the top of Thiago's head.
51' Only Leeds United (eight) have scored more goals from outside the box than Spurs (seven) in the Premier League this season.
46' CHANCE! As at the start of the first half, Liverpoo have a big opportunity to score! Rodon lunges in to stop Firmino getting a shot off, but he lays the ball back for Salah, who blasts over the top.
46' KICK-OFF: We are back under way for the second period!
Firmino's goal was Liverpool's first in the Premier League since Mane netted at home to West Brom last month, ending the Reds' run of 482 minutes and 93 shots without scoring in the competition.
Firmino grabs a huge goal for Liverpool on the stroke of half-time! They just about deserve their lead, most notably passing up a huge second-minute chance through Mane, but Tottenham also saw an effort ruled out for a close offside call. How will Mourinho respond now?
45' + 5' HALF-TIME: Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool
45' + 2' Mane cannot direct a header goalwards when meeting a cross from the right, and Liverpool are then a little too cute on the edge of the area, Alexander-Arnold working space with a dummy but then attempting an extravagant chipped pass, which is cut out. The right-back promptly concedes a foul.
45' + 1' With a series of stoppages - mainly for Kane's knock - there will be a minimum of four minutes of added time.
44' Tottenham successfully defend Robertson's corner, directing the initial delivery away and then winning a free-kick through Bergwijn.
43' Robertson sends in a cross from the left, which Aurier blocks to give Liverpool their first corner.
42' SAVE! Lloris denies Mane! Firmino threads a neat pass through and Mane, under pressure from a defender, shoots early and almost catches Lloris by surprise. The Tottenham captain parries and his defenders can clear.
41' There is a clear pattern to this game, with both sides capable of a swift break. Liverpool counter this time and Salah centres from the right, but Mane cannot make contact in the middle.
39' It is Tottenham's turn to keep the ball, but Kane does not appear particularly mobile, meaning Son is left to do much of the running in attack. Struggling to find an angle, Spurs prefer to recycle possession.
36' Great tackle! With Firmino dropping deep and Mane running inside from the left, Liverpool are causing Spurs real problems. Mane advances once more, but Rodon lunges in to brilliantly divert the ball clear.
36' Close! Kane is straight back in the mix and lifts a pass over the top for Son. Alisson is quick off his line and gathers the ball just on the edge of the area. Son appeals for handball, but Liverpool play on.
35' Clearly limping, Kane is once again going to try to play on. Dier looks to be fine to continue, but Tottenham will have to keep an eye on Kane.
33' Tottenham have two men down! Mane gets in behind again and Dier takes a knock halting the Liverpool man. Spurs break while their defender holds his left ankle, before Kane goes over for a second time in a challenge with Henderson. He needs more treatment.
32' Given the state of play at the top of the Premier League, it is clear both teams are looking for all three points. They have contrasting approaches, Liverpool dominating while Spurs sit deep, but there have been openings at both ends.
29' Far too easy for Alisson. He claims Son's corner and sets Liverpool away on the counter.
29' It is Tottenham's turn to stay patient and Doherty's pass towards Son prompts an intervention from Alexander-Arnold, who can only concede a corner.
27' Kane wins a free-kick just inside the Tottenham half to end a long period of Liverpool pressure and the home side can finally push the Reds back, keeping the ball and slowly but surely advancing back up the pitch.
23' BIG SAVE! Another Mane chance! Tottenham appeal for offside against the winger before he runs onto Salah's measured pass and volleys first-time from close range. Lloris saves one-handed and then appeals again to the linesman. Mane does appear to be beyond the last man.
22' SAVE! Alisson stands up well to Son! Tottenham counter at speed and their number seven has time and space on the left, steadying himself but shooting straight at the goalkeeper, who gets down to just about gather.
21' Liverpool keep the ball on the edge of the Tottenham box for an extended period but cannot forge a path through and settle instead for a speculative Firmino shot, which Lloris holds.
20' Son looks to be in behind again on the left, this time onside, but Matip does brilliantly to match the attack stride for stride and muscle him off the ball in the area.
18' Tottenham must take greater care in possession. They like to play on the counter but are resorting to hurried clearances at the moment, allowing Liverpool to patiently start another attack. Rodon is the latest to hack the ball out of play.
16' Liverpool have Spurs penned in, but Alexander-Arnold twice fails to pick out a team-mate with a cross, before Mane looks again for the right-back and undercooks his pass. Tottenham cannot get out, though, simply giving the ball back to the Reds.
14' Kane is able to walk to the touchline unassisted and will attempt to play on. That will be of some relief to Jose Mourinho.
13' Concern for Spurs. Kane wins a free-kick from Thiago on halfway but stays down. The Tottenham striker appears to twist his ankle under the challenge and is going to require treatment.
12' Tottenham are going to look in behind this makeshift Liverpool defence, perhaps attempting to exploit Henderson's lack of pace in an unfamiliar position. Doherty looks for Bergwijn, but Alisson, whose sweeping will be key, comes and collects.
10' Incident after incident! Thiago nods across the face of goal and Firmino cannot make contact, instead going down under contact from Dier. There is no foul, though, and play continues, with Rodon feeling contact in a duel with Mane but getting to his feet in time to see his opponent's shot blocked.
9' There remains a great pace to this game. Some intricate play on the edge of the Tottenham box threatens to send Wijnaldum through until Ndombele steps in. Spurs have no interest in simply keeping possession and instead Son tries and fails to lead a one-man break.
6' This is a very lively start and both teams will feel they should already be in front. Perhaps the contest will now settle a little as Liverpool keep the ball.
4' OFFSIDE! Relief for Liverpool and Mane! Tottenham think they have the lead when Kane sends Son through to calmly beat Alisson at his near post. But a VAR review finds Son just offside, his heel marginally ahead of Alexander-Arnold's shoulder, and the Reds escape.
2' HUGE CHANCE! Mane should have Liverpool in front! Alexander-Arnold plays a diagonal pass up to the winger, who nods the ball down for Salah. Liverpool's top scorer looks to return the ball to his team-mate and does so when Aurier makes a mess of the interception, and Mane is in. With time to pick his spot, he shoots wide. Oh dear.

Let's get the team news from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - including a big change in the Liverpool side...
Defending champions Liverpool, who are fifth, won the reverse fixture last month with a last-gasp Roberto Firmino goal. They have won only once since, though, while sixth-placed Spurs are unbeaten in four and also still in both cups.
In this ever-changing season, Manchester City are now the team to catch, having leapfrogged Manchester United on Tuesday and then watched the Red Devils surprisingly lose at home to Sheffield United on Wednesday. Both Spurs and Liverpool will be desperate for a victory to remain major players in the title chase, but they each enter this game outside of the top four.
