79' Mane gets the chance to shoot, but his effort – curled straight to Patricio – lacks conviction. Wolves go up the other end and it is crossed in to Silva, but his header loops into Alisson's grasp.
78' It really is a sign of the times for Liverpool that, rather than look to build on their lead, they seem more concerned about holding on. You cannot blame Klopp’s men – they desperately need a victory.

66' No penalty! Alexander-Arnold clearly places a hand on Moutinho, who collapses in a heap in the Liverpool box, screaming for a spot-kick. It was only a very slight touch from the full-back, and did not seem enough for Moutinho to go down, though it is unclear if Pawson saw it.
65' Great goalkeeping! Traore put on the afterburners to burst down the right wing and drilling in an inviting delivery. No Wolves player had gambled on it, though, and Alisson sticks out an arm to parry it away.
64' Robertson’s free-kick causes trouble for Wolves’ defence, who cannot clear their lines. Mane looks to race onto a loose ball, but can’t get there ahead of Patricio, and would have been offside anyway.

62' That’s dreadful from Willian Jose! He broke the lines with a decent run onto Neto’s pass. He has two runners in support, only to pick the wrong option and compound the mistake by overhitting his attempted pass straight to Alisson.
60' Liverpool have managed to hold Wolves at bay so far since the restart, though they will know this game is far from up, especially given the form they have been in. Wolves, though, do seem to have run out of ideas, somewhat.

Nuno will be pleased with what his side have offered up until the final third but, as has often been the case this season for Wolves, they have lacked the cutting edge required. Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, will be wanting his team to snatch a quick goal to put this one to bed and get them back on track.
Wolves can consider themselves unlucky, as they have created plenty in the first half, but its ultimately Liverpool who have the lead due to Patricio’s error. The Reds have been far from convincing, though have shown some signs of promise moving forward and have got a goal as their reward.

45' CHANCE! A wicked Neto cross evades a crowd of players and finds its way through to Neves. He takes a touch to set himself, but just drags his strike wide.
44' Neves goes for goal from the resulting free-kick. His effort is well struck, but soars straight to Alisson, who makes a comfortable stop.
40' Another poor tackle from Thiago and, given Neves has just been booked, he really can consider himself fortunate not to get a card for what was a rash challenge on the Wolves playmaker.
39' CLOSE! That’s a really slick Liverpool move. The Reds move it from left to right at pace, giving Salah the chance to square up his marker. His path to goal is covered, but he lays it off to Alexander-Arnold, whose cross invites Mane into a diving header. The Senegal star makes good contact, but sends his effort wide.
35' Wolves are looking to record back-to-back home Premier League wins for only the second time in the last two seasons, winning their final two at Molineux in the 2019-20 season.
32' Vital touch from Phillips! Willian Jose was unmarked at the back post and looked set to latch onto a cross from the right, but Phillips just manages to get a glancing header on it, and Liverpool escape unscathed.

19' Wolves are showing plenty of intent, and Traore has done well to win a corner down the right flank. Wolves go short, but the resulting cross is a poor one, and Liverpool clear.
17' Moutinho is back on his feet and will be fine to carry on. He's immediately involved as he plays a neat throughball into Neto's path, and the youngster forces a throw-in deep in Liverpool's half.
15' There’ll be a pause in play now, as Moutinho receives treatment. Thiago lost control of the ball and lunged in. There did not appear to have been any intent in the tackle, but it was a poor one, and the Spain playmaker is perhaps fortunate to get away without a caution.
14' Another opportunity! It’s a really open game at Molineux and Wolves should have done better. Thiago collides with Moutinho and Wolves pick up the loose ball. In a three-on-three situation, Willian Jose gets down the left and then picks out Traore. However, instead of shooting first time, the winger tries to take on Kabak, who manages to intervene and halt the move.
13' CHANCE! Kabak threads a pass into midfield and it is worked through to Mane, who gets the better of Patricio. However, the forward’s touch just forces him wide and, after cutting onto his right foot, Wolves get back to clear their lines.
11' Another effort from Semedo, who has been heavily involved so far. He tries his luck from the centre of the box, but his shot is blocked.
9' Good pressure from Wolves, who win the ball back high upfield. Willian Jose attempts to make a dart into the box, but Neto either doesn’t spot him or decides against playing in the cross, and the hosts have to recycle possession.
7' Liverpool have made plenty of sluggish starts as of late and Wolves are certainly on top in the opening stages here. Given Liverpool’s league form, Nuno clearly wants his team to get after the reigning champions early on.
5' CHANCE! Traore finds plenty of space between Liverpool’s defence and midfield. He holds up the play before lay it off for Semedo, who drills an effort at Alisson, but the goalkeeper holds on.
4' Liverpool have not lost an away league game against Wolves since August 1981, winning four and drawing three of their seven trips to Molineux since, though the Reds nearly made an abysmal start there.
2' Fumble from Alisson! A really nervy start from Liverpool’s goalkeeper, who comes out to meet Traore’s cross only to drop it right at the feet of Semedo, who just can’t react quickly enough to capitalise, and the referee dismisses the appeals for a penalty. That's a let off for the Reds.

There is no Roberto Firmino for Liverpool, but Wolves have one of their former starts Jota to worry about. The Portugal international leads Liverpool’s line, flanked by Salah and Mane, while Kabak and Phillips continue in defence after impressing against RB Leipzig.
