However, it wasn't an easy victory to hold onto. McKennie's clumsy foul gave Insinge the opportunity to equalise from the spot, but after his miss Napoli began to lose hope. Nevertheless, Lozano's stoppage time effort forced Szczesny into a sensational save to protect the lead - and it turned out to be crucial. Moments later, Cuadrado raced away to set up Morata to make it 2-0 and ensure that Juventus would lift the trophy!

But the best chance fell to Petagna who powered a header from close range that Szczesny kept out with a stunning, instinctive save. Both teams played in a risk-averse style though and you'd think that the second half will be a brighter affair.
